Summer Reading 2007

Summer reading has concluded for the year.  Thank you to all of the families who participated.  We had 237 children participate: 53 preschool- kindergarten, 75 grades 1-3, 77 grades 4-6, 24 grades 7-8 and 8 grades 9-12.

The library's summer theme for 2007 was Reading is out of this World!  Children pre-school to 12 years old were invited to join in the "Space Fun" at the library.  A full updated schedule of summer events was  posted at the library and a flyer sent home at the end of the school year.

Blast Off: Tuesday, June 12th: (children may also sign up any time after this date)

Monday, June 18th: Summer Hours begin.  The library is now open Mondays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Friday, June 22nd: Binder Park Zoomobile program 1:00 p.m.

Thursday, July 19th: Air Zoo All About Astronauts program for grades K-4 at 10:30 a.m.
 
Thursday, July 26th: Air Zoo To Space and Back program for grades 5-8 at 10:30 a.m.

Monday, August 20th: Summer hours end.  The library is closed on Mondays.
